Meet Robyn …
“I’m excited to practice at Sprout! My hope is to offer a calm environment conducive to balanced wellness and that each person leaves their massage session feeling more ease in their bodies and glad that they came. Many of my clients enjoy massage as a monthly preventative maintenance tool.”
Robyn has been an RMT since 2019 and returned to Salmon Arm in 2021. She is active in running, cycling and bikepacking, and teaches a weekly stretch and mobility class for every body to raise funds for a local charity.
Hi there! I am the owner and primary RMT here at Sprout. My goal is to offer you a warm and welcoming environment, in which you feel safe, feel heard, and where we can guide a treatment according to your needs.
A little bit about me: I was born and raised in Vernon, and started my career as an RMT in 2016. I bumped around BC a little bit experiencing different places and learning from different businesses. In 2020 my husband and I moved to Salmon Arm, and it was just the small bonded community I was looking for. I like to be outside, whether walking, biking, skiing, gardening, or reading my book at a campsite. I’m also a homebody and appreciate creature comforts, which is why I wanted my practice space to reflect the sigh of relief that happens when we enter a comfortable space.
As an RMT I see all kinds of musculoskeletal ailments, restrictions, or concerns. These can include headaches, postural strain, old injuries, acute muscle or tendon irritation, facial tension, and the list goes on! However I don’t like to discount the therapeutic benefit of a simple relaxation massage either. I’ve come to be passionate about pre and post natal care as well. I have pregnancy cushions to support the prenatal body, and I’ve done extra learning in aspects of myofascial and scar release, diastasis recovery, and breathing techniques for the pre/post natal body. Generally, I aim to be a part of the support network for anyone in the pre/post partum journey.
In 2021 I also started my journey of teaching Pilates. It’s been a valuable asset to my knowledge, it has been fulfilling personally, and I love to apply the principles when suitable in my RMT practice.
Every new tool or technique or method I have learned is just another option of facilitation for whatever path you’re on. Every body sends its messages differently, and responds differently. I believe in the importance of keeping the mind open, and lowering expectations as to what box or category the symptoms might fit into.
I look forward to meeting you and seeing you start that journey!
